Free Blog

Image
The artist I chose for the free blog is Semiok in instagram. He’s a street artist from turkey. His are very cartoony and bright and a lot of them feature characters from different shows or movies. What I really love about his art is how he incorporates the surrounding of the pieces. It isn’t just a flat piece but something about it is real and in in your face to make it part of the scene.

3D Printed Artwork

Image
Danny van Ryswyk Ryswyk creates all of his work on 3d software on his computer. He says working on the program is almost like working with clay but digitally. He works on his wacom tablet. Once the sculptures are printed he begins to paint the details in. Most of his works are really eerie looking, which is what I personally enjoy most cause it's weird and I like weird stuff.    Gilles Azzaro Azzaro is a French digital artist. He uses 'cutting edge" technology to create 3D images of people's voices. He magnifies the images and makes them into almost lunar like landscapes out of 3D words. They kind of remind me of minecraft if I'm being honest. But they also look a lot like stalactites on the insides of caves.

Frank Stella

Frank Stella is an American printer, painter and sculptor most commonly known for his minimalistic style and abstraction. Stella lives and works in New York city. In his early work you will mostly see really geometric pieces with either lots or little color, that are usually done 2d. However as time passes you can see that his work begins to be extremely expressive and shifts from 2d to 3d and begins to get very abstract, in your face almost.
